Easter Offering - 2022

During Christmas and Easter, the people of this church have a history of going above their normal giving.  Which is designated as the Christmas or Easter Offering that go to support outreach ministries.  The Mission Team is tasked with providing where these offerings are needed to support ministries.  This year the Mission Team decided the Easter Offering be divided between two areas being supported by the United Methodist Church.

One is International -- where grants for immediate relief have been given to United Methodist partners in Ukraine as well as neighboring nations.  Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia – to support those who remain in Ukraine as well as those who have fled the violence.  In addition, grants are being awarded to partners like ACT Alliance, a global faith-based coalition working in 120 countries around the world. These grants are providing humanitarian assistance in the form of food, water, clothing, shelter and other necessary supplies.

The other is National and close to home. These are National level disaster, which includes the solidarity grants that have already been used to assist with the immediate needs of survivors of the tornadoes that hit western Kentucky on December 11 of last year. Also for the Long Term Recovery which is projected to take three to five years.

The Missions Team to support the services being provided by these two outreach ministries of the United Methodist decided to match donations up to $2,000 dollars.
